My name is Vasilis Tsounis, but I go by my artistic nickname, Shout One. I've been working as a professional tattoo artist for the past four years. Art has always been an integral part of my life in many forms, but tattooing captured my imagination like nothing else. The culture surrounding it, the idea of transforming physical appearance through permanent art, has always felt like magic to me. Tattoos symbolize commitment and choice, something that can't be undone but can become a cherished part of your story.
The atmosphere of tattoo shops and the street culture associated with them drew me in more and more over time. Helping people transform their bodies, hearing their life stories, and reflecting on those experiences feels like a gift. Tattooing is a leap of faith, and the challenge of guiding someone through that journey keeps me passionate about what I do.
I specialize in blackwork and fine-line tattoos, often combining the elegance of fine lines with the boldness of blackwork into what I call "elegant blackwork." That said, I also enjoy working with each style individually. Freehand designs and customized creations, especially reworks or cover-ups, are another area where I excel. These projects allow me to adapt and create something truly personal for each client.
My approach to tattooing begins with understanding the person behind the canvas—their mindset, lifestyle, and how a design can harmonize with their body’s anatomy. The flow of a design is crucial, and subtle storytelling is a big part of my process. I prefer to incorporate symbolism in a way that aligns with my clients’ visions, keeping the meaning personal yet understated. Meeting with clients beforehand is an essential part of this collaboration.
In every project, I prioritize technical precision, clean application, and minimal skin trauma, even in more intense designs. Hygiene is non-negotiable; a clean and professional environment is the foundation of every tattoo session.
I’ve completed a full-year apprenticeship, trained under top-tier mentors, and gained experience in studios across Europe and Greece. I’ve also participated in conventions locally, with plans to expand internationally. My home base is Uncle Chronis Tattoo—a studio that offers a safe, calm atmosphere, perfect for clients who might feel nervous about the process.
My artistic inspiration comes from both nature and street aesthetics. Body art continues to grow as a respected art form, proving its longevity and cultural significance. Seeing incredible artists remain humble while contributing to this community motivates me to give back to the culture that has allowed me to do what I love while making a living.
